Another part of the task was to experiment with things to do with visual and audio that you hadn't done before, this is why I focused on the use of audio effects to emphases how the main character was feeling and visual triggers that conveyed that he was struggling with things. Our initial location was to use the Christmas market in the town center of Sheffield, this was because we wanted to show the happiness around the character with the other people having fun with the Christmas lights and the Christmas spirit in general, while he was stuck in his trapped world drowning out all the happiness and excitement out of Christmas. However, this location

Task 3 Idea Planning

Danny Taylor Theme: Sense of Space Word Associations: Alone, Confined, Large surrounds, Feel Trapped In a Large/Populated Environment  Idea 1 Go Somewhere Populated with Christmas things maybe somewhere at night time to get that winter but magical feel of Christmas and with a lot of joy and happiness and focus on someone who feels alone and not in the Christmas spirit. This will be showcase by the use of audio effects of them feeling trapped like they are underwater and have long distance shots with upbeat people walking around them showcasing the persons isolation from the world around them and causing the feel and the "Sense of Space" Potential Locations For Idea 1 Sheffield Christmas Market Fargate, Sheffield S1 2LG Open from 10am-6pm (8pm depending on the day) Problem is that it is based in the Sheffield Centre and has been filmed by other students so could be put off by it being used a bit already. If I was able to film in this place I would film at Nig

Shooting Exercise 2

Shooting Exercise 2 Link To Video https://vimeo.com/373610468 For this exercise, I felt like I had to improve and go more and beyond with my work for this exercise, this was because I was not impressed with what I did for the last exercise and felt like I had to step up my game and do something more creative. To start with, I was not ill this week, unlike the last time when I did the last exercise, so that helped a lot. I also decide to go somewhere I was familiar with and a place I know I could get great footage with. So I decided to go to Clifton Park in Rotherham Town Centre. This is because it had a variety of different things that would be interesting to film for example the memorial for the soldiers since it was just after Remembrance day.  Also the fountain would be good to film because of the sound effects with the aim of the task doing wide shots and then doing a close up of a object or place, this was great because it had the effect of slightly hearing the water from t

Shooting Exercise 1

Shooting Exercise 1 Link To Video https://vimeo.com/367574933 Evaluation For the exercise we had to choose a location to film and a location to sound record for this. This exercise has taught me that sound is very important to film because without sound the situations that appear on screen will not effect the viewer unless there is sounds there emphasizing the impact or how the viewer should feel to what is on screen, if the sound doesn't match like mine doesn't it will take the viewers out of the film's world. Comparing it to other Media I have looked at, my exercise looks similar to "Derek Jarman's The Cleaning" (1993), this is because both of our films are in a 1st person perspective as if you are looking from the main character's perspective or that you feel like it is your own personal journey you are going on. Also relating to sound it has some comparisons to "Jarman's Garden" (2000) found on Third Cost International Audio Fe
